and the cultivated land, green and yellow, varied in its colors and flowers.
مُصْفِرًا — yellow. A color adjective 'yellow', in the object form to match the land it describes, coordinated by the wa- before it with 'green'. Like any Arabic adjective it follows the pattern of its noun in case. It adds the second shade in the picture of the ripening, fading crop.
