Arabic vocabulary
How to say “hardship” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَالنَّصْرُ مَعَ الصَّبْرِ وَالْفَرَجُ مَعَ الْكَرْبِ وَالْعُسْرُ مَعَ الْيُسْرِ
So victory is with patience, and relief is with distress, and hardship is with ease.
وَالْعُسْرُ — and the hardship. The wa- joins the third and last of the parallel sayings ('and hardship...'), completing the matched set. It is prefixed to the definite noun 'hardship', the topic of this pairing. The connector keeps the three maxims rhythmically linked.
