Arabic vocabulary
How to say “head” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَيَمْسَحُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ دَاعِياً لَهُ،
And he wipes his head, praying for him.
رَأْسِهِ — his head. A noun with a 'his' pronoun fused onto its end, a possessive in one word. The preposition before it forces the genitive ending, and the attached 'his' points back to the person being prayed over, the recipient of the wiping.
