Arabic vocabulary
How to say “wipe” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَيَمْسَحُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ دَاعِياً لَهُ،
And he wipes his head, praying for him.
وَيَمْسَحُ — and he wipes. The wa- on the front is the linking 'and', continuing the same subject's actions. The verb is present-tense with 'he' carried inside its shape, so it states the action and its doer in a single word without a separate pronoun.
