Arabic vocabulary
How to say “his upbringing” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَتَرْبِيَتُهُ بِالْكَسْبِ لَهُ وَالْإِنْفَاقِ عَلَيْهِ
and raising him by earning a livelihood for him and by spending on him.
وَتَرْبِيَتُهُ — and his upbringing. The front wa- adds this to the list, and the noun under it carries the 'his' pronoun, marking the upbringing as the child's, 'his upbringing'. Arabic attaches the owner straight onto the noun. So the word continues cataloguing the father's investments in the child.
