Arabic vocabulary
How to say “I gave them” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَقَالَ الثَّالِثُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي اسْتَأْجَرْتُ أُجَرَّاءَ فَأَعْطَيْتُهُمْ أَجْرَهُمْ،
And the third said, "O Allah, indeed I hired laborers and gave them their wages."
فَأَعْطَيْتُهُمْ — so I gave them. A past-tense verb with the 'I' subject in its '-tu' ending and an attached 'them' pronoun marking who received the giving. The opening 'fa-' chains it to the hiring as the next step. One word thus holds the act, its doer, and its recipients.
