How to say “I swear” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَأَحْلِفُ أَنَا عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ يَمِينًا لَا كَفَّارَةٌ لَهَا
So I swear by that an oath that has no expiation for it.
فاحلف — so I swear. Present-tense verb with 'I' inside it, prefixed by the consecutive fa- carrying 'and so'. The fa- threads this vow onto the chain of conditions just laid out, a planned next step.
