Arabic vocabulary
How to say “indeed you are” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَأَغْلَظَتْ لِي فَقُلْتُ لَهَا وَإِنَّكِ لَهُنَّاكِ
She spoke harshly to me, so I said to her, "And indeed you are there with them."
وَإِنَّكِ — and indeed you are. Three pieces: a wa- opening the quoted retort, an emphasis particle 'truly/indeed' that strongly affirms what follows, and a feminine 'you' attached as its subject. The emphasis word is the grammatical job here, lending force beyond plain 'and you'.
From: Umar and the Prophet's Wives →OpenArabic teaches words like إِنَّكِ through real bilingual reading with native audio and spaced-repetition practice.
