How to say “infatuation” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
مِنْ غَرَامٍ تَكْتَسِي فِيهِ ثَوْبَ ذُلٍّ وَشَيْنٍ
Infatuation can clothe a person in a garment of abasement and shame.
غَرَامٍ — infatuation. An indefinite noun, no 'the', meaning a consuming, ruinous love, carrying the 'of...' ending because the preposition before it governs it. Its indefiniteness keeps it general, 'some infatuation'. It names the cause whose grip the rest of the line describes.
