Insistent on acquiring gains through poetry, lacking in religious commitment,
مُصِرًّا — insistent. This is in the accusative to describe the poet's ongoing state — 'while persisting' — not as an object. Arabic uses this circumstance-accusative to attach a condition to the person. It is an active participle, naming one stuck in the act of insisting.
