Arabic vocabulary
How to say “its people” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَكَانَ إِلَى الْقَرِيَةِ الصَّالِحَةِ أَقْرَبَ بِشِبْرٍ فَجُعِلَ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا
So he was an inch closer to the righteous village and was made one of its people.
أَهْلِهَا — its people. This noun is fused with an attached feminine pronoun 'its', pointing back to the village, so one word means 'its people'. It stands in the genitive as the object of the preceding 'from among', and the suffix is what tracks the owner, which is the village rather than the nearest noun.
