Arabic vocabulary
How to say “its weight” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَاحْتَمَلَ بِثِقْلِهِ وَعِيَالِهِ فَتَحَوَّلَ عَنْهُمْ
And he bore it, with its weight and his dependents, then he turned away from them.
بِثِقْلِهِ — with its weight. Preposition bi- on a noun carrying -hi 'its', in the genitive; bi- here marks accompaniment, 'along with'. The 'its' points back to the load, so the phrase says he took it weight and all.
