How to say “knowledge” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَالْأَخْذِ عَلَى يَدِهَا، فَلْيَكُنْ وَكِيلُكَ عَلَيْهَا الْعِلْمُ،
And the taking hold of it by the hand, so let knowledge be your agent over it,
الْعِلْمُ — the knowledge. A noun carrying 'al-' (the) standing as the thing the 'let it be' is really about, the subject the exhortation hands its role to. Coming after the verb in Arabic order, it is what is being told to act as the agent.
