Arabic vocabulary
How to say “made” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَأرْسل حَمَامَتَيْنِ فاتخذتا هُنَاكَ عشا جعل على أبصار الطالبين غشاوة
And He sent two doves that made a nest there, creating a veil over the seekers' eyes.
فَاتَّخَذَتَا — so they made. 'Fa-' (so) plus a past-tense reflexive-shape (form VIII) verb 'took for themselves / made' with the dual '-ta' ending carrying 'they two' (feminine dual). The dual ending says the two doves did it together.
