Arabic vocabulary
How to say “many different” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَأَصْحَابُ هَذِهِ الْحَالِ أَنْوَاعٌ شَتَّى
And the people in this state are of many different kinds.
شَتَّى — many different. This is an adjective describing 'kinds' before it, 'various/sundry'. It agrees with that plural noun and stresses the diversity, so the two read as 'many different kinds', the adjective driving home the multiplicity.
