A mere name is a spark without fire; but a prescribed sentence is a light that spreads.
الْمُجَرَّدُ — mere. 'the stripped, bare', a passive participle on 'the name', agreeing as definite, masculine, nominative. It pins the subject to the name-with-nothing-attached.
