How to say “milk” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَمَا عَسَى أَنْ يَبْلُغَنِي مِنْ هَذَا اللَّبَنِ،
And perhaps some of this milk will reach me.
اللَّبَنِ — the milk. The noun 'milk' made definite by 'the', the specific milk pointed at and governed by 'from', so in the post-preposition form; its 'l' blends into the following sound. It is the source of the hoped-for share. The definiteness ties it to the milk on hand.
