How to say “my purse” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
آكِلٌ مِنْ كِيسِي وَمِنْ كِسْوَتِي حَتَّى لَقَدْ أَوْجَعَنِي ضِرْسِي
I ate from my purse and from my clothes until my molar ached.
كِيسِي — my purse. A noun ending in -i 'my', so it fuses 'purse' with the speaker as owner. Sitting after the preposition it takes the genitive ending, reading 'from my purse' as a single governed unit.
