How to say “necessity” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
أجمع المسلمون على وجوب تعظيم القرآن العزيز على الاطلاق وتنزيهه وصيانته
Muslims unanimously agree on the obligation to honor the Glorious Quran in all cases, and to respect and safeguard it.
وُجُوبِ — the necessity. A noun 'obligation' in the (genitive) ending after the preposition, and itself the head of a possessive pairing, 'obligation of honouring...'. As the head it stays bare of 'the', drawing definiteness from the owner that follows. So it both obeys the preposition and opens a chain of 'of' relationships.
