How to say “neglected” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
إنه ربوبيته الكاملة لخلقة تأبى أن يتركهم سدى
Indeed, His complete lordship over His creation refuses to leave them neglected.
سُدًى — neglected. This is the predicate completing the verb of leaving and names the resulting state, untended. It carries the indefinite '-an' ending you hear as nunation, which signals that it is indefinite and functions here as a description of how the creation would be left.
