Arabic vocabulary
How to say “number” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَهُوَ أَنْصَرُ لِصَاحِبِهِ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ بِلَا عِدَّةٍ وَلَا عَدَدٍ
And he is more supportive of his companion than other men, without any limit and without any number.
عَدَدٌ — any number. An indefinite noun 'number/headcount', negated by the preceding 'and no'. It completes the doubled 'without count and without number' phrase, hammering home that patience needs no host at all. Its indefiniteness fits the absolute denial.
