Arabic vocabulary
How to say “any limit” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَهُوَ أَنْصَرُ لِصَاحِبِهِ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ بِلَا عِدَّةٍ وَلَا عَدَدٍ
And he is more supportive of his companion than other men, without any limit and without any number.
عِدَّةٍ — any limit. An indefinite noun 'count/numbers (of troops)', governed by the preceding 'without'. Its indefiniteness suits the sweeping denial: not any reckoning of forces at all. It is the first of a paired 'without X and without Y' phrase.
