وَهُوَ أَنْصَرُ لِصَاحِبِهِ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ بِلَا عِدَّةٍ وَلَا عَدَدٍ
And he is more supportive of his companion than other men, without any limit and without any number.
الرِّجَالِ — other men. A definite plural 'men', the standard of the comparison, governed into the genitive by the preceding 'than'. Its al- here marks the general class, helpers in general, against which patience is measured. With the preposition it completes 'than (any) men'.
