How to say “oath” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَأَخْبَرَ أَنَّ الصَّبْرَ خَيْرٌ لِأَهْلِهِ مُؤَكِّدًا بِالْيُمْنِ
And He informed that patience is best for His people, affirming it by oath.
بِالْيُمْنِ — by oath. The bi- prefix marks the means ('by'), governing the definite noun after it into the genitive. It names the instrument of the affirming, completing the circumstance of how the statement was strengthened.
