How to say “one who causes others to stumble” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَهَذَا الْمُعَثِّرُ يُسْمِعُ الآلَافَ مِنَ الْحُدَّاثِ فِيهَا الْوَعِيدَ وَالتَّهْدِيدَ،
And this one who causes others to stumble makes thousands of youths hear the warning and the threat contained in it.
الْمُعَثِّرُ — the one who causes others to stumble. A definite active participle (al-) naming a doer as a fixed type, 'the one who makes others stumble'. It stands in apposition to the demonstrative before it, the two together identifying the subject, a doer-noun rather than a verb.
