Arabic vocabulary
تَّهْدِيد is how you say “the threat” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
وَهَذَا الْمُعَثِّرُ يُسْمِعُ الآلَافَ مِنَ الْحُدَّاثِ فِيهَا الْوَعِيدَ وَالتَّهْدِيدَ،
And this one who causes others to stumble makes thousands of youths hear the warning and the threat contained in it.
وَالْتَّهْدِيدَ — and the threat. The connector wa- adds a parallel object to 'the warning', on a definite noun (al-) 'the threat'. The wa- simply pairs the two contents heard, keeping this noun in the same object role as the warning it joins.
