Arabic vocabulary
حَاذَى is how you say “parallel” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
خارج عن الكائنات فلا يقال سامتها وحاذى،
He is beyond the entities, so it cannot be said He is equal to them or parallel.
وَحَاذَى — or parallel. This is wa- joined to a past-tense verb with 'He' built in, 'or lay parallel to them'. The wa- coordinates this with the previous claim, and both fall under the same denial, so neither matching nor paralleling can be said of Him.
