Arabic vocabulary
How to say “passes” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَيُرِيحُهَا عَلَيْهِمَا حِينَ تَذْهَبُ سَاعَةٌ مِنَ الْعِشَاءِ،
So he leaves it to rest with them two when an hour of the evening has passed.
تَذْهَبُ — it passes. Present-tense verb with the feminine 'she/it' subject built into its prefix, agreeing with 'an hour' (a feminine noun) that follows as its doer. The feminine marking is how you know it pairs with 'hour', not with a male actor.
