Arabic vocabulary
تُدْرِكُ is how you say “perceive” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
وهكذا الصائم صومُه مستورٌ عن مشاهدةِ الخلق، لا تدركه حواسُّهم
and so is the fasting person; their fast is hidden from the view of creation, it cannot be perceived by their senses.
تُدْرِكُهُ — perceive it. A present-tense verb 'grasp / perceive' with '-hu' (it) attached as object, its subject (the senses) coming next. The suffix points to the fast: their senses do not catch it.
