How to say “placed in the middle” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَتَوَسَّطَ قُفَّهَا، وَكَشَفَ عَنْ سَاقَيْهِ وَدَلَّاهُمَا فِي الْبِئْرِ،
And he placed his cloak in the middle, and uncovered from his two legs, and let them both hang down in the well.
وَتَوَسَّطَ — and placed it in the middle. The wa- ('and') opens this clause; the verb means 'he positioned himself in the middle', with a built-in 'he'. The conjunction lists this as the next thing he did.
