فَإِنَّ هَؤُلَاءِ مَا غَوَّايَتُهُمْ بِالْحَدِيثِ إِلَّا كَغَوَّايَةِ الْمُصَارِعِ وَالسَّاعِيِ وَلاَعِبِ الْحَمَّامِ،
For indeed these people, their misguidance by hadith is no more than the misguidance of the wrestler, the runner, and the pigeon-player.
وَلاَعِبِ — and the player. Again wa- adds a list item, and this noun ('player') then heads its own possessive chain with the next word. So it both joins the run of figures and opens 'player of...', sitting in the 'of'-style ending while owning the noun that follows.
