Arabic vocabulary
يَجُولُ is how you say “ranges about” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
وَالْخَيْلُ الْمَوْسُومَةُ يَجُولُ بِهَا فِي حَلْبَةِ الْعَجَبِ الْمَغْوَارِ،
And the branded horses, he ranges about on them in the arena of wondrous valor,
يَجُولُ — he ranges about. A present-tense verb 'ranges about' carrying a third-person masculine 'he'. Note the agreement: the singular form is used though the horses are plural, because the rider, not the horses, is its 'he' subject. The pronoun in the next word will tie the action back to the mounts.
