  And he used to send me fenugreek in the morning.

  بِحَلْبَةِ — with fenugreek of. A preposition bi- ('with') prefixed to a noun that then opens an 'of' pairing with the word after it. Two things are happening: bi- marks what is sent, and the noun chains to the following 'the morning' so that the two nouns together mean 'the morning's drink'. The first noun drops any 'the' of its own and takes its definiteness from the second, which is the hallmark of this possessive linkage.
