How to say “valorous” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَالْخَيْلُ الْمَوْسُومَةُ يَجُولُ بِهَا فِي حَلْبَةِ الْعَجَبِ الْمَغْوَارِ،
And the branded horses, he ranges about on them in the arena of wondrous valor,
الْمَغْوَارِ — the valorous. Carries al- ('the') and is a describing word — 'the valorous' — modifying the wonder before it. As an adjective it follows its noun and copies its definiteness and genitive case, which is why it too is definite and genitive. It heightens the sense of dashing display in the arena.
