أَضْحَكَ الثَّكْلَى بِمَا يَسْرُدُ مِنْ أَخْبَارِ البُخَلَاءِ وَالْحَمْقَى
He made the bereaved laugh with the stories he recounted about the misers and the fools.
يَسْرُدُ — he recounts. A present-tense verb, 'recounts', with its 'he' subject built in, used in a vivid present inside the relative clause. It names the storytelling that produced the laughter.
