أَضْحَكَ الثَّكْلَى بِمَا يَسْرُدُ مِنْ أَخْبَارِ البُخَلَاءِ وَالْحَمْقَى
He made the bereaved laugh with the stories he recounted about the misers and the fools.
البُخَلَاءِ — the misers. A definite plural, 'the misers', the owned half of 'reports of the misers', in the after-a-possessor case. Set beside the noun before it with no word for 'of', it tells us whose reports begin the list.
