And it is rare among skilled poets to refrain from satire,
يَتَصَوَّنُ — refrain. A Form V verb — its reflexive pattern means 'guards himself / holds back'. So this is 'the one who keeps HIMSELF from' something. Arabic builds many 'do-to-oneself' verbs with this mold, which is why it reads as self-restraint. It pairs with the preposition next.
