How to say “remorse” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَشَاهَدْنَا هَوْلًا يَمْلَأُ الأَنْفُسَ إِنَابَةً وَنَدَامَةً،
So we saw a terror that filled the souls with repentance and remorse,
وَنَدَامَةً — and remorse. The wa- on the front is the linking 'and', pairing this noun with the previous one in the same role. It too is a verbal noun in the accusative marking the content of the filling, so the two together list what the souls are filled with.
