  And when your resolve for seclusion has become firm, to render to the Truth what is due from the self,

  لِاسْتِيفَاءِ — to render what is due. A 'li-' of purpose fronts an action-noun, so the prefix turns the whole word into 'in order to render'. It states the goal behind the seclusion, with the prefix supplying the 'so as to' that English would spell out as a separate phrase.
