Arabic vocabulary
How to say “resounded” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فضجت مما لجت الجدر، فرجعت على الورق الشكر،
So the walls resounded with what the torrents brought, and thanks returned on the leaves,
فَضَجَّتْ — so they resounded. The 'so/then' prefix chains this onto the cascade as the next result, and beneath it a past-tense verb means 'cried out / resounded', with a feminine subject built in agreeing with the walls. The connector ties the resounding to what swelled the waters, advancing the chain of effects.
