إِجَابَة is the verbal noun of أَجَابَ (form IV), the standard word for a reply to a question or a response to a call. It extends to God accepting a supplication, as in the Qur'anic phrase "I answer the call of the caller when he calls to me."
Definitions synthesised from Lane's Arabic-English Lexicon (E. W. Lane, 1863–1893).
وَأَمّا الَّتِي بيني وَبَيْنك فمنك الدُّعَاء وعَلى الاجابة
And as for the one that is between Me and you, it is from you supplication, and upon Me is the response.
الْإِجَابَةُ — the response. This noun carries 'the' and is the delayed subject of the preceding phrase, the thing that is upon God. Its plain subject ending marks it as the doer in 'upon Me is the response', completing the reciprocal pair.
