Arabic vocabulary
How to say “reward” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَإِن فِي قَتلهمْ أجرا عِنْد الله لمن قَتلهمْ
For indeed in killing them is a reward with Allah for whoever kills them.
أَجْرًا — a reward. This noun is indefinite, 'a reward', and its accusative ending marks it as the delayed subject following the 'indeed' particle, since that particle puts its subject in this case. So one might expect a subject ending, but the emphasis particle forces the accusative here.
