How to say “sayings” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
كَانَ قَوْلُهُ هَذَا مِنْ شَرِّ أَقْوَالِ الْكَافِرِينَ بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ
This statement of his was among the worst sayings of the disbelievers concerning Allah and His Messenger.
أَقْوَالِ — sayings. A plural noun completing the pair, the sayings among which this one is worst, in the genitive. Set beside 'worst', it forms 'the worst of the sayings' directly, and itself heads a further possessive link.
