Arabic vocabulary
اطْلُبُوا is how you say “seek” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
وقال علي بن أبي طالب روحوا القلوب واطلبوا لها طرف الحكمة فإنها تمل كما تمل الأبدان
Ali ibn Abi Talib said, 'Refresh the hearts and seek for them a portion of wisdom, for they get weary as bodies get weary.'
وَاطْلُبُوا — and seek. The wa- joins this command to the last. It is again a plural imperative, 'you all seek', the -u ending showing the order is to a group.
