How to say “self-deception” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
غَيْرُ أَنَّهُ زَيْنُهَا وَطِفْلُ الْهَوَى ذُو إِغْتِرَارٍ،
Except that he adorned it, and the one carried away by desire was full of self-deception.
إِغْتِرَارٍ — self-deception. An action-noun naming the state of being deceived by appearances, completing 'possessor of self-deception'. As the owner end of the 'possessor of ...' link it takes the genitive ending. Together the pair says the desire-driven person is steeped in delusion.
