How to say “silent” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
حين تسكتُ قليلًا، تسمعُ بوضوحٍ ما يقوله عقلك وما يخفيه قلبك
When you are silent for a while, you clearly hear what your mind says and what your heart hides.
تَسْكُتُ — you are silent. 'you fall silent,' a present verb — the 'you' lives in the front prefix, as present verbs carry it. Under 'when,' it sets the case: a spell of silence, measured by 'a little' next.
