وَمَفْخَرَةٍ تَفَاخُرٌ بِهَا غَيْرُهَا مِنَ الْمُدُنِ،
and a source of pride that other cities boasted about,
وَـمَفْخَرَةٍ — and a source of pride. An indefinite noun with wa- joined on front. The wa- continues the description, adding another thing the city became; the indefinite two-stroke ending (heard as final -in) and the genitive case carry over from the parallel construction before it. The noun names a source of pride.
