Arabic vocabulary
How to say “strength” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
مَا لَهُ وَلِهَذَا لَا طَاقَةَ لِيَّ بِهَذَا
I have no power over him or over this.
طَاقَةَ — strength. This noun is the subject of the negation 'there is no', and the accusative ending marks it under the 'absolute no' construction Arabic uses for blanket denials, 'no power at all'. So its case signals a categorical 'none whatsoever'. It names what the devil lacks.
