فَهَكَذَا تَكُونُ الْمُصَارَعَةُ بَيْنَ جُنُودِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَجُنُودِ الشَّيْطَانِ
Thus the struggle is between the forces of the Most Merciful and the forces of Satan.
الْمُصَارَعَةُ — the struggle. A definite noun, the subject of the linking verb, naming the wrestling-match. With 'al-' it points to the figurative contest being summarized, not a literal bout.
