How to say “tell me” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
حَدِّثْنِي كَيْفَ صَنَعْتُمَا حِينَ سَرَيْتَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Tell me how you two behaved when you set out with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.
حَدِّثْنِي — tell me. A command-form verb with the pronoun '-ni' (me) fused on, so it means 'tell me' in one word. Commands take their own distinct verb shape, and the attached '-ni' is the special object-form for 'me' used after verbs. It opens the request for an account.
